Shepherds Pie

Preparation: 1h30 ⎜Cooking: 1h ⎜ serves 6 

Ingredients:

Mashed Potatoes:

  • salt & pepper
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tbs of vegan butter
  • 10 regular-size potatoes
  • 1 cup of plantbased milk

Stew:

  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic clove
  • 1 celery branch
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tbs of soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup of red wine
  • 4 sundried tomatoes
  • 2 tbs of vegan butter
  • 2 tbs of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbs of tomato paste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 regular-size carrots
  • 1 cup (125g) of frozen peas
  • 3 fresh thyme branches or 2 tsp chopped
  • 1 fresh rosemary branch or 1 tsp chopped
  • 1 tbs of flour (rice flour for a gluten-free version)
  • 1 cup (250g) of soy minced meat or cooked lentils

Topping:

  • A pinch of sugar
  • 1 tbs of vegan butter
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 tsp of nutritional yeast
  • 1 of tsp chopped parsley

Best with:

Arugula, Green salad, Green beans…
